Tutorial¶
The Tutorial in Re://:Swarm is a guided walkthrough led by Black Bear. Instead of flipping through picture pages, new players get one objective at a time in Black Bear's dialogue panel, and each step moves on as soon as they actually do it. Movement is never frozen.
Who gets it¶
The walkthrough is offered to players who have made less than 1,000 honey in total and have no bees in their hive yet.
- Claim a hive.
- Onett welcomes you with the Honeyday welcome.
- Shortly after Onett's welcome closes, the game asks "You look new here! Want to do the tutorial?"
Answer Yes to start the walkthrough or No to skip it. There is no skip button once it has started, and it cannot be replayed later.
While any NPC conversation is open, the walkthrough's panel hides itself so it does not cover the conversation.
Steps¶
Every line comes from Black Bear. A step you have already done is skipped automatically.

Steps 9 and 10 are skipped if you have already completed Sunflower Start.
Rewards¶

Black Bear mentions a Magic Bean in step 10, but the quest only gives honey.
Rebirth reminder¶
After the walkthrough ends, Black Bear lets you know when you have enough honey for your first Rebirth:
"You've got enough honey to Rebirth! It resets your honey but makes you permanently stronger. Follow the arrow, or press the Rebirth symbol in your Boosts."
An arrow leads to the Rebirth shop, the shop glows purple, and the Rebirth tile in your Boosts bar pulses. The reminder hides if your honey drops below the requirement and goes away for good after your first Rebirth. Players who skipped the walkthrough do not get it.
Trivia¶
- The old Bee Swarm Simulator picture slideshow (36 pages) is still in the game's code, but it never opens and its Help button is hidden.
