Artisan Bear¶

Artisan Bear is a quest giver added with the Painter Bee event. Artisan Bear is a painter who finds the fields "lovely... but so predictable", and paints patches of them in the opposite colour for you to harvest.

The questline has 15 quests. The last one rewards a Painter Bee Voucher, which redeems for a Painter Bee Egg.

Location¶

Artisan Bear stands at an easel next to the Royal Jelly Dispenser, close to the Clover Field.

Questline¶

The first quest has no requirements. Each later quest unlocks when you finish the one before it.
Every quest is one-time only. None of them can be repeated.
In the quest log, quests show as 🎨 Artisan Bear (N/15): Quest name.
After quest 15, Artisan Bear only says: "The fields have never looked better. Come visit my gallery any time."

Painted flowers¶

Every quest asks you to harvest Painted Flowers in that quest's field.

While anyone in the server has an Artisan Bear quest, Artisan Bear paints that quest's field. Each paint job covers 3 patches, each with a radius of 7 studs.
The paint lasts 75 seconds. The next paint job on that field comes 45 seconds after the paint dries.
The paint is the opposite of the field's main colour. Red fields get blue paint and blue fields get red. White or mixed fields get red or blue at random.
Players on the quest get an alert: "🎨 Artisan Bear painted patches of the (field) (colour)!"
Each painted flower counts once per paint job. Only flowers harvested while the quest is active count.

3. Seeing Red

Start: "Now for the Blue Flower Field. All that blue... I will warm it up with red." "Bring me some honey from the dispenser too. An artist must eat."

5. Strawberry Blues

Start: "The Strawberry Field. So red, so sweet, so... ordinary." "Blue strawberries. Now that is a painting." "Something howls at night near my easel. Deal with it, s'il vous plaît."

6. Bamboo Blush

Start: "You have grown strong. Good. The next canvases are much larger." "The Bamboo Field is far too blue. I will give it a blush of red." "This one will take time. Art takes time."
During: "Do not rush. Wait for the boosters, wait for the clock. The paint will come."
Complete: "The bamboo is blushing. I am blushing. Everyone is blushing."

7. Web Of Colour

Start: "The Spider Field. Plain white, like an empty canvas." "I will splash red and blue all over it. Whatever my brush feels like." "And the spider... it has my favourite brush again."
During: "Memory games sharpen the artistic mind. Trust me."
Complete: "My brush! Covered in web, but mine. Merci."

8. Pineapple Pop Art

Start: "Pineapples. Spiky, golden, perfect for pop art." "Bold colours, big patches. Let us make the Pineapple Patch scream."
During: "The mantises do not appreciate modern art. Persuade them."
Complete: "Pop art! Everyone is talking about it. Well, I am talking about it."

9. Roses Are Blue

Start: "Roses are red... not anymore." "The Rose Field is my most ambitious piece yet. Blue roses, as far as the eye can see."
During: "Roses are blue, violets are too. Keep harvesting, mon ami."
Complete: "A field of blue roses. Poetry. I could weep."

10. Forest Fire

Start: "Now we paint the Pine Tree Forest. Red, like a forest at sunset." "These next pieces are my life's work. They will test you."

Start: "Pumpkins in red and blue patches, like a quilt." "Every patch a different colour. It will drive the other bears mad."
