Stump Snail

The Stump Snail is a level 6 mob that occupies the Stump Field. With 30,000,000 health, it idly moves along the circumference of the field, posing no direct threat but dealing 30 damage upon contact.

Like the Commando Chick, the Stump Snail's health is saved, allowing players to attack it in multiple sessions until it is fully defeated.

Once defeated, it takes 96 hours (4 days) to respawn. If the player has the Gifted Vicious Bee, the time is reduced to 81 hours and 36 minutes (3.4 days).

Tips/Strategies

Trivia

  • It is one of two mobs where the damage dealt to it is saved over multiple sessions, the other being Commando Chick.
  • Stump Snail, King Beetle, and Stick Bug are the only mobs that can drop amulets.
  • Stump Snail is the only mob that is guaranteed to drop an amulet.
  • This is the only mob that guarantees to drop glue upon defeat.
  • As of the 2019-01-02 update, the Stump Snail, Rogue Vicious Bee, King Beetle (only if it drops a King Beetle Amulet), and ants are the only mobs that do not drop tokens when defeat; instead the loot directly goes to the player's inventory.
  • Even though the Stump Snail does not drop tokens, the total amount of honey rewarded is still increased by Honey From Tokens.
  • Spirit Bear refers to the Stump Snail as "Ol' Stumpy," which may be a reference to YouTuber ThnxCya as he is also known to refer to the Stump Snail as "Ol' Stumpy."
  • It is possible to damage other players' snails with flames.
  • Stump Snail originally had 25,000,000 health prior to the 2019-04-05 update. The change was due to most bees' attacks being buffed in said update.
  • Stump Snail has the most health and the longest respawn time among all mobs.
  • Previously, there was a bug where the Stump Snail would spawn at a lower position than usual, causing it to bob up before falling under the field.
  • On rare occasions, it would fall significantly beneath the map beyond the player's bees' attack range. During such occurrences, bees would be unable to focus on it, flying up and down and rendering its defeat unrealistic.
  • This has since been patched.
  • This is one of the three hostile mobs that require multiple days to respawn, the others being Tunnel Bear and Coconut Crab.
  • When a player leaves the field, the snail returns to its cave without a specific target. In this state, it can damage any player that comes into contact with it.
  • Only the head of a stump snail can deal damage.
  • If the player is in the middle of a round of Robo Bear Challenge, the player's bees will not target Stump Snail. This is likely so the player can collect pollen from the Stump Field for the challenge's quests without having to worry about the snail distracting their bees. However, the snail will still spawn and can damage the player.
